At the start of the Lunar New Year, companies across Jinshan District have shifted into high gear, ramping up production, fulfilling orders, and expanding market reach.

At Shanghai Yongtai Garment (Jinshan) Co Ltd in Zhujing Town, the 27,000-square-meter production workshop is bustling with activity. Designated as a "global excellent factory" by Uniqlo and the largest high-end suit production base in Shanghai, Yongtai has orders lined up through September, with over 130,000 units awaiting delivery in the first batch alone, according to Li Changhong, chairman of the company.

A similar scene is unfolding at Shanghai Yike Environmental Protection Technology Co Ltd. Specializing in eco-friendly food packaging, Yike has long served major domestic tea beverage chains.
Last November, the company broke ground on a 53.8-mu (3.59 hectares) facility with a total investment of 382 million yuan (US$55.44 million), designed to produce 23,000 tons of degradable and recyclable plastic packaging annually. This modern "vertical factory," spanning about 50,000 square meters, is expected to be completed by the end of 2026. Once operational, production capacity is set to double, and a new R&D center will be established to further enhance core competitiveness. The project is projected to generate annual output value of 776 million yuan upon completion.

Shanghai Lianyi Auto Parts Co Ltd, located in Shanyang Town, is a high-tech enterprise specializing in the R&D, manufacturing, and trade of automotive interior and exterior components. Since the new year, the company has secured new orders from automakers including Xiaomi, NIO, and Geely. Currently, Lianyi is accelerating the development and production of over 80 product molds, expected to contribute an additional 80 million yuan in annual output value this year.
