Dianping’s latest Must-Stay List was released on Wednesday, which includes a total of 1,418 hotels across 205 cities, with Hangzhou, Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Xiamen, Suzhou, Chongqing, Nanjing and Ningbo ranking as the top 10 cities by number of hotels featured.
Compared to last year, when 91 new cities and districts—including Chaozhou, Western Hunan, Altay and Jinzhong—were added, the list now covers a wider range of niche towns, nearby holiday destinations and major tourist cities.

Building on this, the list delves deeper into the unique experiences offered by hotels. It utilises AI-powered analysis of millions of genuine user reviews, alongside accurate and up-to-date physical location data provided by the hotels themselves. By taking into account the diverse range of products and services offered by hotels alongside the distinctive characteristics of each city, the list curates a selection of unique hotels that are well worth a visit.

The list is a highly localized hotel ranking curated for Chinese travelers, emphasizing local user preferences, popularity, and high-quality experiences.
It has included 12 sub categories, including “Pet-Friendly”, "Direct Access to Tourism Spots”, “Prime City Locations” and “Cultural Experiences” that directly align with public demand. This helps users find hotels that suit their needs more easily, whilst also stimulating potential accommodation and travel demand.
