HKRI Taikoo Hui has kicked off its “Dare for More, Dare to Thrive” season with a wildlife photography exhibition tied to Earth Day, bringing a conservation-focused showcase into the heart of the city.

Running through May 10, “Paradise Eternal” is co-presented with the Kenya Tourism Board and features the work of photographer Jeffrey Wu. Shot across Kenya and other parts of Africa, the images capture wildlife up close, documenting both the intensity and vulnerability of life in the wild.

The exhibition also serves as a satellite show of PHOTOFAIRS Shanghai, presenting 110 documentary works. Highlights range from cheetah cubs facing low survival rates to Craig, one of Amboseli’s famed “super-tusker” elephants.
Proceeds will support elephant conservation efforts in the Maasai Mara, with talks and public programs scheduled throughout the run.

The programming extends beyond photography. A new virtual reality exhibition, “The Secret of the Pyramid Builders,” has deuted at The VERS inside the mall.
Created by French studio Excurio, the experience uses free-roaming VR to take visitors 4,500 years back to ancient Egypt, exploring how the pyramids were built, from stone transport and Nile shipping routes to labor organization. It also brings to life the “Diary of Merer,” one of the earliest known records of pyramid construction.

Seasonal installations add another layer. Timed with the Jing’an sub-venue of the Shanghai International Flower Show, the mall has turned escalators in its LG1 atrium into a “spring floral path” from April 28 to May 5, lined with hydrangeas, peonies, orchids and tulips that climb upward through the space.
