Taikoo Li Qiantan has launched a series of installations, brand collaborations and pop-ups this May, turning the waterfront retail complex into a mixed-use space for culture, leisure and shopping.

The main draw is “Pawer,” a multi-site exhibition developed with PAWSPECTIVE, China’s first art project focused on dogs. Running from April 22 to May 22, it spans multiple locations across the mall, including an indoor gallery space, a rooftop lawn and a ground-level valet area.

Works by more than 20 artists and designers explore canine sensory perception through installations, sound and scent-based elements, using animal behavior as a lens to reinterpret the city.

Elsewhere on site, Lancôme has taken over the central plaza with a live house–themed pop-up running from April 27 to May 24, featuring product displays, try-on stations and performance space.

On the upper levels, “X Pink 101: Shanghai Edition,” presented with The Pool by X Museum, runs from April 30 to July 18, bringing together more than 20 works from the museum’s collection and using the color pink as a conceptual thread.

From May 1, the complex also hosts a beauty-focused program with InStyle, transforming part of the site into a walk-through floral installation that blends music, beauty experiences and interactive displays.

In its latest wave of brand updates, Taikoo Li Qiantan continues to refresh its retail mix with new store openings and concept spaces. Australian luxury label Zimmermann has reopened its Shanghai boutique following an upgrade, while British collectible toy brand Fuggler has also opened a new store on site.

Undefeated, the U.S. streetwear and sports brand, opened on April 30. It is also set to co-develop “UNDEFEATED COURT” in May 2026 at the central garden, a basketball-themed public space designed for sport, leisure and community use, with courts, seating areas and landscaped surroundings.
On May 1, YSL Beauty launched a black-and-gold concept store, presenting its signature aesthetic through a dedicated retail space.

Food and beverage activations are also part of the rollout. From April 25 to October 23, Sit! Gelato is operating a seasonal pop-up in the Wood District’s L1 outdoor area, rotating international-inspired flavors.

On May 1, % Arabica opened a limited-time kiosk in the same zone, featuring a circular serving window that highlights the contrast between urban flow and coffee ritual.
