In the center of Lidoway Town’s pedestrian street sits a 54-square-meter "container box" with a simple but ambitious mission: to become a welcoming gathering place for the neighborhood’s Chinese and international residents.
The Lidoway · CNS Community Hub is more than a physical space. It is a community living room where people can drop in for a coffee, meet neighbors, join events, exchange ideas and feel a little more connected to the place they live.
Now, we’re looking for a Local Partner to help shape what this space can become.
Who We’re Looking For
We hope to find someone who lives nearby and enjoys community life.
You might be:
- Someone who loves life and notices the small details around them
- Someone who enjoys talking with neighbors from all backgrounds—Chinese, foreign, young, or old
- Someone with an idea, hobby, or skill they’ve been wanting to try, big or small, mature or experimental
- Someone happy to welcome visitors, introduce people to each other, and connect the community
- Someone who can speak English or is willing to practice in an immersive environment
- Someone who simply enjoys bringing people together
You do not need to have everything figured out. What matters most is that you have ideas and the enthusiasm to try them.
What You’ll Do
As the Local Partner, you will help make the hub feel welcoming and alive.
Your role may include:
- Opening the space and greeting visitors
- Introducing newcomers to the neighborhood
- Connecting people with shared interests
- Organizing or supporting community events
- Bringing your own ideas to life
One week it might be a pet gathering. The next, a succulent swap, a tea chat or a language exchange.

If you have a hobby, project or business idea you have always wanted to test, this space can be your first experiment.
Our team will support you with:
- Event planning assistance
- Introductions to local businesses
- Promotion through the City News Service platform
- Access to an international community network

Location

Schedule
Primarily weekdays, with several fixed shifts each week. Specific arrangements can be discussed.
Compensation
Part-time pay, to be discussed in person.
