Shanghai Happy Valley in Songjiang District kicked off its summer dual-park carnival on July 3, combining live music performances at its EV Music Park and full operation of Playa Maya Water Park for all-day land and water entertainment.
Visitors can enjoy water amusement activities in the daytime and attend live music parties at night across the two connected scenic spots through late August.
The EV Music Park has completed hardware upgrades for this summer season. A newly built main stage equipped with high-end lighting and audio facilities and a 3D giant screen delivers immersive audio-visual performances for crowds.
The park will host a lineup of Chinese emerging artists on scheduled summer nights, including Xu Binglong on July 18, Yao Chi on August 1, HIGH5 on August 8 and Jia Mu on August 15. Multiple music genres ranging from soft pop ballads to rock and hip-hop shows run daily on six themed stages with nearly 100 on-site performances every day.
A new fan-participated idol competition program debuts at the music park this summer. Visitors can vote to decide the ranking and stage highlights of male and female idol groups. Popular NPC casts will offer on-site interactions, photo opportunities and customized summer surprise activities for tourists throughout the event period.
A summer exclusive water splashing party runs at the amusement park's central square. Group water battles help visitors beat summer heat with interactive cool-down games.
As sweltering summer heat sweeps across eastern China, Playa Maya Water Park reopened on July 3, rolling out comprehensive venue upgrades, immersive themed scenes and a full lineup of all-age water entertainment programs for tourists.
Covering 200,000 square meters of dedicated water recreation space, the landmark Shanghai water resort caters to young thrill seekers, family travelers and casual leisure visitors amid surging demand for outdoor summer cooling tourism.
Giant cartoon marine art installations are placed across the park for tourist check-in. These plump cute sea-themed art decorations have become the most popular photo check-in spots.
To enrich family interactive entertainment, the water park has launched its signature summer event Family Dash Floating Challenge. The low-difficulty high-interaction gameplay fits visitors of all ages, allowing parents and children to complete team challenges together.

The whole venue adopts a 24-hour continuous circulating water purification system. Real-time water quality monitoring data is displayed across the park with full traceable inspection records. Shade facilities are fully arranged around recreational areas to improve overall visitor experience.
