A Summer Collaboration Returns
From 15 July to 15 October 2026, The Shanghai EDITION reunites with acclaimed London-based restaurant brand Burger & Lobster for a seasonal campaign, PLAY with FLAVOR | Burger & Lobster Returns with a Playful Summer Takeover. As an extension of the hotel’s second-quarter chapter, PLAY, the collaboration takes inspiration from Burger & Lobster’s signature pairing of lobster and burgers, bringing together limited-time flavors, interactive installations and a vibrant social atmosphere. Spanning the height of summer into early autumn, the campaign invites guests to experience a seasonal moment shaped by flavor, playfulness and collectability.
From Dining Experience to City Interaction
Now in its third year, the collaboration between The Shanghai EDITION and Burger & Lobster continues to evolve beyond the table. Staying true to the bold and playful spirit of both brands, this year’s edition re imagines dining as a more immersive city experience under the theme of PLAY with FLAVOR. From limited-time dishes to interactive photo moments and collectible keepsakes, Burger & Lobster’s signature sense of fun extends beyond the plate, creating a summer experience designed to be enjoyed, shared and remembered.
In-House Installation: A Summer Newsstand
As part of the campaign, the hotel unveils a dedicated Burger & Lobster interactive installation. Inspired by classic British newsstands and retro editorial visuals, the space will feature exclusive branded gifts including custom-designed notebooks. Guests who capture and share their moments on social media will have the opportunity to get a limited-edition summer keepsake, turning a meal into a playful headline-worthy memory of the season.
Beyond the Hotel: A Playing Card Wall in the Neighborhood
Extending the campaign beyond the restaurant, a second Burger & Lobster installation will appear within the hotel’s surrounding street-front area in the form of a playing-card-inspired photo wall. Bringing together card motifs with the brand’s unmistakably playful identity, the installation offers another eye-catching summer photo moment for both guests and passers-by. From the restaurant to the neighborhood, the collaboration expands into the city itself, carrying the spirit of Burger & Lobster into a more open and visible urban setting.

The limited-time menu brings back Burger & Lobster’s beloved classics — iconic lobster rolls and the signature lobster beef burger — while also introducing four locally inspired new dishes created just for the season.

Beach Club Lobster Rice
By gently poaching the lobster with ginger, scallions, coconut water and rice wine, chef enhances its natural sweetness without overpowering it. Paired with fragrant garlic rice, it delivers familiar Asian flavors that are fresh and easy to enjoy.
Hot Bird Burger
Crispy chicken, homemade hot sauce and cooling avocado cream create a balance of heat, freshness and crunch. It’s bold, fun and made for casual dining.
Prawns & Avocado
Char-grilled garlic prawns and creamy avocado are a natural pairing, offering smoky, fresh and clean flavors that are perfect for warm weather.
Lobster Linguine
