Prepare to be dazzled by a dreamlike brick-flower wonderland! The LEGO Group brings its spectacular LEGO Bloom Exhibition to Tank Shanghai Art Center on Shanghai’s West Bund this October. Rooted in the “Never Stop Playing” campaign, this eye-catching exhibition turns ordinary flowers into LEGO artworks, blending monumental installations, co-created art pieces, daily-life-themed displays and hands-on brick-building fun for all visitors.

As a special collaboration with Shanghai International Light Festival, a light experience runs from Sep 28 to Oct 7. The iconic tank buildings transform into glowing stages, where virtual LEGO flowers ripple and surge across facades after dark, painting the night sky with swirling floral light.
Three Zones To Explore Where Brick-Built Flowers Come Alive
The show unfolds across three themed spaces, each delivering totally different visual and interactive surprises.

Stealing the spotlight is the breathtaking outdoor centrepiece: a 30-metre-long giant wave crafted from more than 380,000 LEGO botanical elements, covering 800 square meters. Vibrant brick-flower waves seem to burst and flow straight out of the tank building. This huge sculpture has quickly become a must-visit photo hotspot on West Bund.
Walk inside the tank and enter the creative heart of the exhibition. Eighteen collaborative artworks from multi-disciplinary artists are on view, mixing LEGO botanical pieces with metal, fabric, mirrors and diverse materials to showcase endless artistic possibilities.

Wandering into a 360°immersive digital zone, virtual flower tides rise and flow responding to every guest’s movement. Don’t miss the dynamic installation by artist Ian Douglas-Jones on the ceiling, featuring floating LEGO bouquets set within mirror frames delivering constantly shifting visual effects.

You can build your very own LEGO flower, scan your finished creation, and add it to the giant digital flower sea. Every participant’s work merges into the digital waves, echoing the physical outdoor flower surge, meaning your own small creation becomes part of Shanghai’s cityscape.
