From October 1 to 4, 2026, the New Bund Coffee&Dessert Festival will take place daily from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., bringing together more than 140 coffee and dessert brands from 21 cities across six countries and regions. With 34 brands making their debut at the festival, the event will once again showcase the distinctive “coffee + dessert” concept that has become a signature of Shanghai’s lifestyle markets, creating a destination for coffee and dessert lovers during the National Day holiday.

This year’s festival brings together more than 10 coffee brands with championship credentials. Highlights include ALOHA COFFEE, led by Pan Enqi, winner of the China regional championship of the World Barista Championship (WBC); OPUS CAFE from Zhenjiang, led by the national champion of the China Coffee Brewing Competition; and Canada’s Monogram Coffee, whose team has won the Canadian Barista Championship title 10 times.
The festival will also welcome a selection of Shanghai’s popular cafés and highly rated destinations, including Geographer Coffee, known for its distinctive coffee-and-spirits creations; Cafe Grocery, which incorporates Chongming rice into its coffee offerings; established favorite Shiteng Coffee; and longtime Dianping favorites Youshan COFFEE and OR.SO coffee.

The dessert lineup is equally compelling, bringing together a range of acclaimed names and emerging favorites. Among the highlights are VERIE BAKEHOUSE, led by two-Michelin-starred chef Frédéric Jaros; LE JARDIN de Joel Robuchon, the renowned brand associated with a total of 32 Michelin stars; and BU3AN CAKE, founded by a pastry chef trained at Le Cordon Bleu.
The festival will also welcome EAU CAFÉ, a popular Yongkang Road destination making its first appearance in Pudong; Cinnabon, the internationally recognized cinnamon roll specialist; and Spiceman Gelato, known for its distinctive spice-infused ice cream. A dedicated “Matcha Mood” zone will bring together some of Shanghai’s most sought-after matcha destinations alongside popular names from matcha festivals across China, including Azabuya and specialty matcha shop Xiyuan Matcha.

As night falls, the festival experience will extend beyond coffee and desserts. Running concurrently with the event, the New Bund Light & Shadow Art Exhibition, themed “Into the Forest of Spirits,” will transform New Bund Red Lane into a luminous, immersive forest. The streetscape will become an atmospheric setting for visitors to explore, experience and capture.

At Crystal Plaza, a large-scale floral installation titled “Moon Mirror”, created by Belgian floral artist Thomas De Bruyne, will make a limited-time appearance. Through the interplay of light, shadow and floral art, the installation evokes the atmosphere of a moonlit forest, adding a new dimension of art and immersive experience to the festival.
This National Day holiday, visitors are invited to New Bund to explore a luminous forest, wander through an immersive world of light and art, and experience the vibrant atmosphere of the city amid the aromas of freshly brewed coffee and freshly made desserts. The New Bund Coffee&Dessert Festival offers a distinctive urban micro-getaway where food, culture, art and lifestyle come together.
