Hortiflorexpo IPM Shanghai 2025, Asia’s leading event for horticulture and landscape professionals and enthusiasts, showcases global innovations from April 10 to 12 at the Shanghai New International Expo Center in the Pudong New Area.
This year’s exhibition promises unprecedented international engagement and a vibrant display of industry breakthroughs.
With nearly 50,000 square meters of exhibition space, approximately 700 exhibitors from nearly 30 countries including Germany, the Netherlands, Japan, France, Spain, Italy, Canada and Israel, converge to highlight the latest progress in ornamental plants, greenhouse technology, landscape materials, and intelligent agriculture solutions.
The exhibition is a pivotal platform for advancing global horticulture, said the expo’s organizers, emphasizing its role in fostering international cooperation, driving technology innovation, and expanding global market opportunities for participants.
A bustling scene at the expo
China’s robust policy initiatives, such as the National Flower Industry Development Plan (2022-2035), prioritize innovation, sustainability, and digital integration, catalyzing a new wave of industry growth. Coupled with rising consumer demand for diverse, personalized, and high-quality horticultural products, China’s flower and horticulture market is rapidly transforming into a dynamic economic sector.
The international presence at this year’s expo features advanced greenhouse automation from Dutch and German exhibitors, innovative flower cultivation techniques from Japanese specialists, and extensive floral product showcases.
Five regional delegations from Yunnan Province, Guangdong Province, Heze City, Huzhou City, and Quanzhou City make a collective appearance, showcasing the richness and regional characteristics of China’s floriculture industry. From unique plateau flowers and tropical plants to culturally rich peonies and other specialties, these exhibits wow visitors.

The Guangdong delegation brings tropical and subtropical flowers, including exotic trees, ornamental plants, and other species, while Heze displays the latest achievements of its famous peonies.
Huzhou uses the ecological advantages of the Jiangnan water towns to showcase high-quality flowers like roses, lilies, and succulents. The Quanzhou delegation focuses on southern specialties such as butterfly orchids and horticultural technologies, reflecting the unique floral industry landscape of the southeastern coastal region.
Moreover, visitors will find popular rose varieties, as well as butterfly orchids and begonias, at the expo, and new varieties such as fresh-cut roses and geranium SmokeyEye are making a stunning appearance.

Beyond professional forums, a series of interactive and artistically rich concurrent activities will also take place, offering viewers an immersive floral experience. Among them, the floral art performances, themed “Future Flower World,” will bring together numerous domestic and international floral art and ikebana masters to create a visually stunning spectacle with rich design concepts and strong imagery.
In over 10 performances, Chinese flower arrangement, Japanese ikebana, German natural style, children’s floral art, and floral installations will take turns showcasing the charm of different styles and schools and offering a visual feast.
