“Lady in White Veil”
An exhibition featuring 18 masterpieces of Lin Fengmian (1900-1991) started in Jing’an District on Sunday.
Among the works on display, “Lady in White Veil” and “Courtyard” are extremely precious.
They are the pinnacle works of Lin and are considered the most revolutionary paper-based artistic treasures in the history of 20th-century Chinese painting.
Not only are they known as the “most classic masterpieces” of Lin’s artistic career, but also due to their legendary transmission trajectory and epoch-making artistic language, they have become the focus of academic and collection circles.
Shanghai Fushouyuan Public Welfare Foundation specially customized two AI paintings, “Lotus Pond” and “Lotus Flower” for the exhibition.

These showcase the dynamic scenes of lotus leaves swaying and lotus flowers blooming in Lin’s original works, using technological means to awaken the new vitality of classic paintings.
Lin was a painting master as well as an outstanding theorist and an educator. This year marks the 125th birth anniversary of Lin.
The “Lin Fengmian and Life Art” Painting Exhibition was part of the humanities, art, and life education public welfare activity inaugurated at the Jing’an Temple Lecture Hall, which will run through April 30.
It also comprises public welfare project donation and lectures.

Shanghai Fushouyuan Public Welfare Foundation and those from cultural and artistic circles and philanthropic individuals, donated 500,000 yuan to conduct public welfare project of humanities, arts and life care education, covering the fields of art exhibitions, documentaries, public lectures, intervention therapy, art therapy, and public concerts.
The art exhibition aims to reconstruct the spiritual connection between individuals and society through aesthetic education. It seeks to awaken the public’s appreciation for traditional culture and advocates that public welfare and charity should not only focus on material assistance, but also pay attention to spiritual healing.
Subsequently, the exhibition will continue to tour in places such as the Humanism Memorial Park of Shanghai Fushouyuan, Mu Yun Ji Book Academy, and Life Flower Shop.
