The retirement of foreign individuals is handled by the enterprise according to regulations.

For those who have paid social security contributions for at least 15 years, enterprises will normally handle it for foreign individuals.

For those who have not paid social security contributions for at least 15 years, enterprises can continue to make up payments under the pretext of employment after the age of 60 before they are eligible for retirement.

If one has left the unit after reaching the age of 60 without completing at least 15 years’ worth of contributions, an application can be submitted to the social security bureau for approval to make up payments.
