After couple days.we had to fly back to Shanghai.Henry got his other business.
Soon, the Chinese science management office organized a meeting related to this urgent policy.
I flew back to Beijing to take part in it, and some local suppliers were taking advantage of these policies to raise their unit price. Alexie asked me to give a brief speech to complain about the fact that our government changed the policy without any prior notice. And I did.
Well. Everyone became quiet during my speech. Shame or they didn’t care at all.
Luckily, Another week.Henry told me that he regained his memory. He had another friend who was working in Beijing, but not in the same management office. Henry said that his friend didn’t take the senior high school exam, but his uncle got him into one of the top universities in China, HGD University.
What? I couldn’t believe it. If that’s true, then I could sense the power behind his friend. Is that the real world or not the truth?Oh…
I was astonished by this information. It indicated that I didn’t waste my time on the three-year soccer game during my senior high school. How ironic!
We soon flew back to Beijing and invited this VIP friend out for dinner. He was very nice and told us that he was busy with his PHD about chemical raw material on surface of Highway. I wasn’t sure whether I was jealous or shocked. I just couldn’t believe this kind of power.
Looking at myself, my grandpa was from north Jiang Su province and he was a normal staff member at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Since he got nothing then he gave up his family name and married with my grandma.My grandma was from Chongming Island of SH countryside and was a university student of Heilongjiang during the 1950s.
My grandpa got a 5m2 room from Jiaotong University where I got shower through a water pipe outside of kitchen with laughing from girls next door at Summer.That`s sweet in memory.I could put ID there but at the end my father gave the chance to his younger brother and he pushed hardly on his own study around1980s to restart life.We all need to take exams after senior high school.Now I met someone got special power.Huuu.Big world.How small I was!
Anyway. My aim was to obtain his assistance. I had to flatter him with kind words and cover all his expenses for drinks& karaok. He agreed to check the information for me from his end. I didn’t like the way in the north at all. When in Rome, do as the Romans do.
With his help, I flew back to Beijing for a new meeting with the Chinese Science Management Office. This time, the real door opened. Nevertheless, we still need to wait for the next government procedure.
So, I have to remain in Beijing for more drinks and meetings. Whenever this new VIP friend called me, I rushed to him or flew to him. If he wanted to play tennis together, then I would organize a game. If he wanted to take a city walk to show me around, I would follow him.It was painful and I couldn`t push the situation.
Good thing was that I knew Beijing well.
One day, he was in a good mood and asked for my address in Shanghai. I gave it to him without hesitation. He said he wanted to send me a gift. I replied that what I needed was that stupid approval. We both laughed.
Soon, I received a gift from Beijing.
