A young tiger named “Hong Tang” has become a rising star at Shanghai Zoo recently.
With its adorable appearance, movements resembling those of a golden tabby cat, and natural charm in front of the camera, it has quickly gained popularity, becoming the zoo’s latest female celebrity.
Hong Tang, literally translated into brown sugar in Chinese, is a young tiger with golden fur and reddish-brown stripes. She has bright, clear eyes, round ears and face, and a patch of white fur shaped like a heart behind her left ear.
She’s a typical and beautiful female Bengal tiger.
Besides her looks, Hong Tang has a charming personality. She loves playing with large woolen balls for hours.
Born on August 10, 2024, Hong Tang was abandoned by her mother at birth. She was raised by zoo keepers until four months old, so she’s very friendly to people.
The tiger has triggered a craze of visits to the zoo recently.
